DNS, proxies and bot protection that keep websites fast and safe from abuse.
I put client domains behind Cloudflare’s proxy, so visitors reach Cloudflare first and the real server stays out of sight, and I add Turnstile to contact, booking and login forms so bots can’t flood them. Every Turnstile token is checked on the server before a form is processed. For sites hosted on Vercel, Cloudflare runs the DNS only, as Vercel recommends.
The proxy hides the server’s address and absorbs DDoS attacks, with HTTPS and caching included on the free plan. Turnstile stops spam bots without making people click traffic lights: most visitors never see a puzzle, it’s free with unlimited challenges, and it works on any website, whether or not its traffic runs through Cloudflare.
The widget on your page creates a token, and your server sends it with a secret key to Cloudflare’s Siteverify API. Tokens are valid for five minutes and can be checked once. Widgets run in managed, non-interactive or invisible mode.
Only A, AAAA and CNAME records can be proxied, so mail and verification records stay DNS-only. Full (strict) mode encrypts traffic to your server and checks its certificate.
The free plan includes unmetered DDoS protection, a free managed ruleset and one rate limiting rule. Bot Fight Mode challenges known bot patterns, but may also challenge API traffic and can’t be skipped with your own rules.
